Summerfest in Milwaukee is about music. And what a lineup!

In 2012, the Marcus Amphitheater will rock with performances from Rascal Flatts with special guests Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Eden’s Edge, Train and Kelly Clarkson with special guest Brett Dennen, Lady Antebellum with Darius Rucker and special guest Thompson Square, The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour, Ti?sto with special guests Steve Aoki, Zedd, R3hab, Tommy Trash and Pierce Fulton, Iron Maiden with special guest Alice Cooper, Zac Brown Band with special guest Blackberry Smoke and Sonia Leigh, Big Time Rush with special guests Cody Simpson and Rachel Crow, Aerosmith with special guest Cheap Trick and Neil Diamond.

Also known as “The BIG GIG”, Summerfest will host Grounds Stage Headliners including: Steve Miller Band, The Avett Brothers, Common, Cake, Scorpions, Lupe Fiasco, Gary Clark Jr., The Head and the Heart, Robyn, Eric Benet, Phil Vassar, AWOLNATION, Brantley Gilbert, Tito Rojas, Gavin DeGraw, Atmosphere, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Halestorm, MUTEMATH , Fitz & the Tantrums, The Joy Formidable, La India, Anthony Hamilton, ZZ Top, Kool & the Gang, Chicago, Ben Folds Five , The Roots, Paul Oakenfold, David Gray, Thievery Corporation, 311, Burton Cummings, Young The Giant, O.A.R., Heartless Bastards, Phantom, Rocker & Slick, The Hives, Fountains of Wayne and The Country Throwdown Tour featuring Gary Allan, Rodney Atkins, Josh Thompson and Sunny Sweeney.

In between the music, you won't go hungry. The grounds also host over 40 different food and beverage vendors, offering a wide variety of delectable cuisine.

Yeah, But What Else is There Besides Music and Food?

New this year, Lucille's Piano Bar will be located near the South Gate and feature their Dueling Pianos show nightly at 7:30 pm along with additional entertainment daily during Summerfest from Noon – 11:30 pm.

Additionally, on July 4, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. will host its 4th Annual Summerfest Salute, to honor members of the U.S. Military and their families with a celebration including traditional and contemporary military band performances. All patrons are invited to join in on the musical salute; there will also be military displays and demonstrations on the grounds, in the water and even in the air.

Set your eyes on the sky for Summerfest's Big Bang Fireworks Show presented by Menards and WISN-TV, broadcast live in high definition on WISN-TV on Wednesday, June 27 at 9:30 pm. Watch WISN-TV for a pre-show beginning at 9:00 pm! Produced by Bartolotta Fireworks.

Visit the Columbia St. Mary's Cool Down Lounge with NewsTalk 1130 WISN near the south end, it’s always the “coolest” spot on the grounds! Get away from the crowd in this air-conditioned lounge and check out Summerfest memorabilia from the Summerfest 45th Anniversary Exhibit at Discovery World.

Take a ride on the Summerfest SkyGlider, a true family favorite! Located high above the main walkway, this gentle ride provides its passengers with a scenic view of the Summerfest grounds, Lake Michigan and the entertainment below. One-way and round-trip fares are available.

The Price of the Music

Summerfest delivers an unforgettable live music experience and value for festival-goers at an amazingly low price. General Admission tickets are only $16 and Weekday tickets (valid for entry prior to 4:00 pm) are only $9. The value continues with a 3 for $36 multi-day pass, valid for one general admission per day on three different days of the festival ($48 value). New for 2012, as part of the 45th Anniversary celebration, fans can purchase a Power Pass, valid for one general admission per day, all 11 days of Summerfest 2012 for only $45 ($176 value) exclusively at SummerFest through June 8, 2012.
