Florida Birding and Photo Fest in St. AugustineSome of the world's best bird and nature photographers will be flocking to northeast Florida's Atlantic coast to both capture
outstanding images and to show fledgling photographers how it is done. The 9th Annual Florida's Birding & Photo Fest will be held April 27-May
1 on Florida's Historic Coast - an area featuring St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and 42 miles of exquisite beaches.
Headquartered on the campus of the Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience located on the Intracoastal Waterway south of St. Augustine, the
festival is one of the most celebrated of its kind in the nation. The 2011 Festival features more world-renowned photographers, more new rare
birding opportunities, and even more in-field programs and technical training than in any previous event. Sunrise and sunset kayak trips
devoted to honing photography skills are sure to be extremely popular.
Workshop presenters include some of the best in the business with credentials and experience that clearly establishes them as "world
class" bird photographers. Tim Grey, Robert O'Toole, Lewis Kemper, Alan Murphy and Chas Glatzer are just a few of the all-star photographers
who will present workshops.
In addition, Arthur Morris will both teach and present the keynote address. A Canon contract photographer for the past 12 years, Morris
literally wrote the book on the subject. His The Art of Bird Photography is the classic work on the subject and has inspired hundreds of
thousands of amateur and professional bird photographers.
