Cook with the Chef with the Chef du Jour program at Four Seasons Resort in Scottsdale

Experience the thrill of a behind-the-scenes culinary adventure with the “Chef du Jour” program at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale. Enjoy a personalized evening alongside Executive Chef Mel Mecinas and Sous Chef Evan Goldstein, while in the driver’s seat of the evening’s menu for your private meal.
The program begins with an in-depth conversation with Chef Mecinas, as he ascertains likes and dislikes and areas of focus for each individual’s evening. Together the participant and the culinary team customize a menu, which the guest chef then has the opportunity to help prepare.

"This is a one-of-a-kind chance to walk in the shoes of an executive chef," says Brian Pierce, director of food and beverage at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale. "Participants experience the sense of accomplishment of creating a menu from start to finish as well as the excitement and energy of a fast-paced restaurant kitchen."

The "chef for a day" receives a personalized, signed menu and a chef’s jacket – embroidered with his or her name and the Four Seasons logo – as a keepsake of the experience. Other items such as professional chef pants, caps and aprons, as well as top-rated kitchen utensils and cutlery, are available at an additional cost.

The "Chef du Jour" experience concludes with a private dinner in Talavera, the Resort’s signature contemporary American restaurant. The entire "Chef du Jour" is arranged for the price of $450, including the dinner for the guest chef and one additional guest. The price for up to two additional guests, or four total individuals, is $550. A booking time of one week prior to the guest chef’s night in the kitchen is required, and participation is limited to one individual per evening.
